In this course, students will have the opportunity to experience and evaluate multiple materials. We will review both natural and synthetic components as a group and discuss each material individually. This unit will cover 4 fragrance families (Spicy, Amber, Woody, and Gourmand), and we will review where they are found in natural materials vs synthetic materials. All Materials will be provided in-house. We work hard to make sure our cost are as low as possible and accessible. That's why this class breaks down to only $45 per class.

Learn Goals
Students will learn about the language of perfumery and the corresponding materials, while examining individual materials in detail.
A deeper analysis of molecules and natural materials will provide students with a better technical understanding of these fragrance families.
Gain an understanding of how to evaluate materials and keep records for perfume development.
Cancellation Policy
Refund or Credit (minus a $20 processing fee) if a refund request is received two weeks before the start of a class.
Requests for cancellations need to be sent to contact@hummingbirdhouse.org
No refunds or credits after attending 1st class.
Multi-week classes: If you miss a class, you will not receive credit for future classes.
